Wauwatosa Curling Club
Learn to Tosa Minispiel
Attn: New Members!
You are warmly invited to our very first "Learn to Tosa" mini-bonspiel! We are excited to welcome our newest members (1st and 2nd years) and those who are new to the Wauwatosa Curling Club (recent transfers). Since we haven't been able to hold a traditional fall welcome social as of late, we're taking advantage of an open day on our calendar to celebrate you, our newest members!
Event Details:
- Date & Time: Saturday, November 14th. The 1st draw is at 1:00 PM (a 2nd draw at 3:00 PM may be added if interest is high!). Please arrive at 12:30 so we can check you in. Max participants would be 64 players for 2 full draws.
- Format: We'll play a 6 end, Mullarkey-style point game based on games, ends, and points won. Winning teams will be featured in The Sheet newsletter! Sorry, no pins for this event.
- Teams: We’ll assemble balanced teams from everyone who signs up so everyone can get to know someone new.
- Food: Potluck style! Feel free to bring your favorite snacks to share with your teammates and opponents.
- Cost: Completely free! We just want to have fun and give our new members another opportunity on the ice.
This is a wonderful chance to get together, play a game, and ask any questions about membership, volunteering, or our other bonspiels. Whether you joined through a "Learn to Curl" event or another route, we're thrilled you're spending your winter with us.
Sign up here, and we'll build teams from that list. The deadline to sign up will be Thursday, November 12th at 4PM. This is so we have time to set the teams. Everyone will get to play at least one draw!
