On January 17, 2017, a group of curlers from Scotland will be hosted at the Milwaukee & Kettle Moraine Curling Clubs. This event, aptly named "The Scot Tour", is a goodwill curling tour between the United States and Scotland.

Every ten years, the USCA (USWCA for the Women’s Tour) selects 20 men from the USA to travel to Scotland where the Scots play host throughout the one-month long tour; the last time the men went to Scotland was in 2012.

In every half decade, the Scots tour and the previous USA team (in this case the 2012 team) handle all of the transportation, banquets, and curling.

The Scots current itinerary have them curling in 26 US clubs over 23 days. On Tuesday, January 17, the tour will stop at two local clubs; Milwaukee & Kettle Moraine. Even though the stops do not include Wauwatosa this trip, each of the two clubs have allowed one team of Tosa curlers at each club. This is an incredible honor to be part of this event.

WCC will be represented by the following:

10am @ Milwaukee CC:
Mike Elwing, Erich Gross, Ben Davis, & Vic Hybinette

2pm @ Kettle Moraine:
Rob Hipke, Steve Scheuing, Carl Deutsch, & Ed Marconnet

If you wish to stop out at the respective clubs, watch curling and meet some new friends from across the pond, please feel to do so. Please keep in mind that while entry into the clubs will be free of charge, drinks and food are not. If you wish to have a drink or snack, please ask what the cost might be.

Lastly, on the evening of the 17th, there will be a banquet held for the Scots at the Delafield Brewhaus located off interstate 94 near highway 83. If you want to participate in this, please call the Brewhaus and make a reservation; space is limited. Cost is $50 per person and must be paid in advance via credit card by Thursday January 13. Call (262) 646-7821 and speak with Dave Larson or Trish Knudson.
