It's Member Registration time!
Registration opens September 4, 2018
As the first rumbles of school buses start roaming through the area, it means we are getting closer to Curling again.
I wanted to remind you of some important dates/news coming up:
2018/19 REGISTRATION STARTS TUESDAY 9/4
Online Registration for the 2018/19 season begins on Tuesday, September 4th. You will need your log-in to get in and start the process. Don't remember your password? Check the link below for assistance.
Dues have increased for 2018-19. The below link reiterates what was shared last month. As a reminder, your payment needs to be made before your name will be added to any league you signed up for. No Pay, No Play
What can I sign up for?
A complete listing of leagues is at the link below, listed in order of OPEN, MEN'S, WOMEN's and JUNIORS
Any league changes for 2018/19?
Most leagues are staying put in terms of dates and times from previous years. One big change is the French Mixed Doubles League. This year, the league will run in the first half of the year with a new start time of 9AM on Saturdays. Based on the popularity of Mixed Doubles at the Olympics, this event is definitely one to get in on.
More leagues may pop up over the year. Check the website and clubroom often as the season rolls on.
This year's opening banquet is Thursday, September 27th. Register now (we need a head-count!)
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED SOON
Once we take control of the ice house on October 1, your assistance will be needed to get the club back into tip top shape. Along with Clubroom/Annex Cleanup, and most important, the biggest need every year is the Ice. Initial Installation and weekly prep/maintenance is VITAL to keep the club running throughout the year. Without ice, we've got nothing. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as a call out for volunteers is made. The greater # of volunteers to help build our ice can help us stay on schedule and get the season running.
Please continue to enjoy the last few weeks of summer, and be ready for sign up on September 4th. I'm happy to say we already have a list of new members waiting to join the club, and I know this year will bring a large group of folks excited to join the greatest sport on ice.
